Oldham's finest rock band, Mercy Kelly, have today dropped their latest anthem, "Out in the Night". The new offering sees the band sharpen their sound even more, with a huge wave of atmospheric sounds washing over the track, making it one of their biggest hits to date.
... yet another anthemic belter, blending jangly guitars, soaring vocals, and Britpop vibes.
The jangly guitar sound that hits you from the get-go will no doubt grip you, much like it did with us on the first play, and as soon as those vocals come rolling in, you'll be in for the long haul.
It's a clear-cut, festival-ready anthem that is sure to go down well with their fans, new and old alike. "Out in the Night" is also nostalgic in places, with nods to the Britpop scene in Manchester, as well as to more modern and contemporary Indie-Rock bands such as The Enemy and The Courteeners.
Produced by Alex Quinn, it’s a confident step towards gaining national notoriety, proving Mercy Kelly's grassroots momentum is no accident but a hard-won evolution that is taking them places!
