The first track of 2026 is a big statement; chunky basslines meet cascading drums, and I'm getting a big reminder of the sounds of Royal Blood here. Easy to compare, perhaps, but they honestly do sound like the Canadian variant of the Brighton rockers.
I did love the vocal effects that adorn the track, with some glicthing effects and sky-high moments that'll have you wanting to learn the lyrics so you can shout it proudly in your car.
If last year was their breakout year, this year has all the hallmarks to get them into the heads of every Canadian rocker, and hopefully further afield too. Dual Variant proves that new rock duos are still exciting and utterly loud.
