It's a sweetly stripped-back song that does not leave itself bare, but if anything, the layers on show just outshine themselves. It's got a clean acoustic guitar with a decent amount of folk tones that can really help you ease into the song. The vocals on this are a delight to hear, very soulful and emotive, and I guess they have to be emotive as the song is all about her processing loss and grief with a quiet strength.
Having been born in Naples (Napoli) and now living in London, it's great to hear an infusion of Mediterranean sounds on the song. Warm, intimate and very easy to connect with, JudeS new effort is a stunner for sure.
