37 Houses returns with more energy on new tune, "Helium"

Following on from their "An Eye For An Eye" single is San Francisco's 37 Houses, and their new tune, "Helium", is very much charged and ready to go. Crashing drums and scorched guitars laced in a fuzz kick things off, and to say we were hooked from the intro might be still under-selling it.

... a fuzzed-out indie-rock banger with soaring guitars and raw, moody vocals.

Erin's moody vocals are a delight on this, every evocative and raw but with plenty of emotion, especially in the initial verse on the track. The track does get more subdued in the opening minute, but if you love that scuzzy sound, then the chorus is where it comes back in full force.

Recorded live in Colorado, the track’s unpolished intensity mirrors the duo's intimate and powerful sound. I loved especially the soaring guitar solos on this, which add plenty of repeatability to the song with a great deal of indie-rock sensabilities making it more broad with its reach. Yes, this may be on the harder side of things, but when a track sounds this huge, who cares? It's a dead-cert head banger!
