Following on from the "In a Heartbeat" single is Shaky and the charging new cut, "Take It Away". The track is one of those classic sub-three-minute indie-rock belters, and with a guitar that screams The Strokes on the intro, gripping me in, I knew from there I was already going to be invested.
... a punchy sub-three-minute indie-rock blast, fusing Strokes-style guitars, fuzzy garage energy, and sharp DIY talent from a true one-man band.
The vocals on it are a pre-delight too, a reminder that bands can be rather unknown to most of the world but still sound like they have the capabilities to captivate thousands of people in a live setting. With a mix of garage-rock, mid 2000's indie and a fuzzy overtone, this track is a true blend of a handful of sub-genres that can see them push into the nation's consciousness.
As a true one-man band, Shaky writes, records, and produces everything himself from his York, PA studio, so to say that this guy has talent could be an understatement.
