Glasgow's own Ellijai returns with the bold new tune titled "Skinny Boyfriend". The new effort is a striking indie rock song with plenty of melodic pop-rock nods. It is very driving, and her vocals on this are absolutely stunning.

At just eighteen years old, this song sounds way more mature than her age would suggest, with the Scottish artist seemingly blending punchy guitars with her soaring vocals to create a track that is very much a perfect balance of Wolf Alice and Paramore (with enough of a driving force to grip anyone who dares to listen).
With backing from BBC Introducing Scotland, she is certainly a rising force on the music scene. With this track being her fourth of the year, there are plenty more awesome cuts for you to delve into once you are done here. Perhaps even check out her cover of The Cranberries' "Zombie".
