NYC-based indie-rock artist Bam Rigby has recently dropped his delightful new track, "Complicated". It is his fourth track since going solo in 2022 and is his second of the year. Continuing on from his single "Silhouette", this new offering has certainly given him plenty more traction to give his music lots of legs on his music scene.
... a cinematic, '70s-infused folk-pop anthem weaving lush vocal tones, sweeping guitars, and a film-worthy horn section.
"Complicated" is a raw and honest look at modern relationship struggles, with a decent smattering of '70s-infused folk tones and indie pop. The track is very cinematic, with sweeping guitars hidden within his lush vocal tones, showcasing his talent for everyone to hear.
I really loved the horn section within the final third of the track, as this felt to me like it was destined to be in a montage of a blockbuster film.
The track is also the second single off his upcoming debut album titled Sometimes I Forget to Breathe, and is a delightful window into what could be coming. If you're a fan of The Lumineers, Harry Styles, and Mumford & Sons, then Bam Rigby might be the artist for you.
