EP Review... Sailors - Sailors EP

Sailors are a four piece Math-Rock band and have been making music since 2007. They come into my knowing thanks to a lovely guy called Declan, this may not be their début EP but it sure as hell is catchy! The 3 new tunes were recorded at Oat Cuts studio with producer Undi back in 2010, but only seeing the light of day now due to a recent gigging schedule which has taken in support slots with Tubelord and This Town Needs Guns.

Crocodile Tears:
Starting off with guitars reminiscent of really early Foals (with Andrew Mears involved). This is a catchy track with well projected vocals, and you can hear that really well as this guy can actually sing, and sing well! Hard drumming, and brilliant riffs makes this track a great opener! It's 4:26 of pure joy!
Out of 10: 8/10

Dried and Broken:
This is a faster track but still keeping the ideals of the other track in mind. Stunning guitars, bass to warm the cockles of your heart and the drumming as fast-paced as ever! This young band is making a big impression on me! Coming in just over 4minutes this is the shortest track on the EP, but I am not complaining as it is 4minutes of fun!
Out of 10: 8/10

Red Wax:
The last song on the 3 track EP and it is one of the best songs I have heard so far this year! The tumbling guitars at the beginning, the insane drumming and the bass creating this infectious track.
