Rae Morris has been about for a few years now, but 2015 sees her début album finally come out, and so because of that she falls into our criteria for 'Sounds of 2015'. She's been spending the year supporting Bombay Bicycle Club around Europe, performing her own shows on the road in the UK as well as performing live with Bombay Bicycle Club at various festivals. Her début album "Unguarded" is released fairly early on in the year on the 26th January.
Since we saw her perform first way back in 2012 opening for Bombay Bicycle Club at Cambridge Corn Exchange she's come a long way. Firstly she was just playing a piano on stage, that's it. But know her sound has become more varied and she even features other artists on her tracks, an example of both of these would be "Cold" which features Fryars, and the sound continues onto her début LP, which we've already had a listen to, and it can easily be a number one album, especially considering the amount of fans she's got over the years.
Last year saw her release an EP and a single running up to the end of the year, but she's also been keeping busy covering some well known bands, such as covering "F For You" and "Stay Another Day". So 2015 will be seeing the Blackpool songstress bringing out her début LP, embarking on a massive UK-wide tour and no doubt some big festival slots too, and after singing to Atlantic Records just after her 18th birthday, there seems to be no limits for Rae!
