Only in its second year year, the Pirate Prodigy's initiative is led by a team of artist managers, agents, promoters, publishers, PR and radio talent who are giving up some of their time to support new British talent.

This evening offers the chance to see the likes of Peeping Drexels, Crystal and Spilt Milk Society perform at London's iconic Water Rats venue.

Last year's winners Red Rum Club have been selling out shows across the UK, visited Europe and South Korea, and their debut album reached the top 50. The Liverpool outfit are currently preparing for the release of their second album - due out in 2020.

Speaking of the new initiative, Red Rum Club said, "The Pirate Prodigy's mentor day ended up being one of those days that we relish as a band - great advice, boss laughs and of course a last minute gig to keep us on our toes."

"As our journey continues with Pirate we've really started to feel like a part of the industry and it was great talking through some of the ideas we had to push our name further and look to 2019 and beyond".
