Cambridge based The Greyhound Factory reveals thumping new track "Genie and the Gun"

Cambridge based quarter The Greyhound Factory have recently revealed their thumping new track "Genie and the Gun". The band have influences ranging from David Bowie to Abba and via The Lemon Twigs, and you can easily hear the influences from all three in their new offering. Having worked with Piers Mortimer (known for his work with Deep Purple and also Jamiroquai) he's helped lift the band up with their new track and has lifted it to the next level

The four-piece have a slight flavour to them that would be best defined by calling it as Americana crossed with Grunge-Rock in perfect measure, that's exactly what "Genie and the Gun" is. With shimmering basslines and soaring guitars this song has you reaching up and wanting to chant it back, as the Americana tainted really drive the track forwards and adds to the excitement of it all.

With more releases from the quartet planned in 2020 this is certainly going to be a year that'll change the band forever, and one of them is in the form of a headline hometown show. The Greyhound Factory will be playing a the headline show on Saturday 6th June at the famous Blue Moon venue in Cambridge, and if you're in town when they play do head down!
