Tokyo Tea Room reveal expansive new single, "Half The Man"

Tokyo Tea Room reveal their expansive and dreamy new single, "Half The Man". Based in Canterbury, Kent this is the first piece of new music from the quintet since the release of their 2019 EP, "Dream Room".

Tokyo Tea Room started out as a project between two friends, Daniel Elliott and Ben Marshall back in 2014. Since then the band has expanded to their current line up and along the way they've expanded their sound too, with the current release being a fantastic slice of psych-pop with some dreamy hooks added to the mix.

With some almost hypnotic boy/girl vocals and guitars the track is a real winner from the off, giving the listener a pleasant experience from the off. With the addition of synths further in and some indie style guitar tones the track expands and provides you with a rather heartwarming experience in the chorus.

This new cut is a massive step forwards for the band, showcasing exactly what they're all about, with support from the likes of lash, BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio 1 there is no surprise they've already accumulated nearly half a million plays on Spotify.

With just an EP and this glowing new single out so far, the band are not hanging about and are producing some fantastic psych-pop tracks with perfectly balanced dreamy hooks from the get go. So if you wanna have a band to get hyped about then Tokyo Tea Room might just be the next big band to break it out from Kent.
