Omonoko drop smooth new cut "Weight in Gold"

Northern Ireland based Omonoko have recently dropped a deep and smooth new cut, "Weight in Gold", and it sounds like one of the most exciting pieces of work we've heard come out of the country in a while.

Big names who come from Northern Ireland would be Ash, Two Door Cinema Club, and Snow Patrol. Omonoko are sounding like they're ready to be one of the next big acts to come out of the land that always has some truly amazing acts.

The Newry based four-piece's new single is their third release of 2020 following on from "Arrow" and "Emerald". Speaking about the track the band say "Lyrically the song focuses on an individual's need to have a break from the outside world, to re-establish a connection with themselves, and to focus on what their next move in life will be."

The new release has some sensationally smooth production with some crisp drum fills helping give the track that atmospheric flavour. Once the track is under way you're greeted with thick - but unapologetic - basslines that soothe you even more.

The instrumentation style very reminiscent to Jungle who have the same sort of vibe with the vocals reminding us more of Daði Freyr and Stereo Honey harmonising together

There is one thing that sets this apart from their other tracks, it's highly addictive - I've had this played so much I wouldn't be surprised if they had over 100 plays from me - so be sure to give it a listen and fall in love with a band that's definitely going to be going places.
