Oxford based artist The Bobo has recently unveiled their atmospheric new single, "Will You". The single acts as their last release of 2020, following on from an EP "Fun. Songs Funeral Songs In Disguise" and the single "Don't Go".
The act is s solo project of Maria Rozalska who also composes music for the first-ever Polish LGBT web series called 'Control'
The Bobo's genre sits in one of those places hard to define, it's experimental music mixed in with ethereal vocals that you'd find in a Bjork release but chilled out enough to be a Thom Yorke track.
Since The Bobo has been releasing music they've had multiple plays from their plethora of tracks on BBC Introducing, even getting into their 'Hot List' at one point. Spotify plays also show how popular their songs are getting, with close to two thousand unique listeners a month and well over 60k in plays since they started releasing music back in 2019.
Speaking about the track The Bobo says - "I first wrote Will You in Polish and send the demo to my local studio. Together we worked hard to bring the instrumental to the next level and I decided to translate the lyrics into English. The song is a hopeful celebration of love that was once lost but maybe it will still come back someday."
