Bosola releases anthemic and relatable new single "Soil & Dust"

Newcastle based singer-songwriter who goes by the name of Bosola (aka Tim Cox) has today released the anthemic new track "Soil & Dust".

The anthemic new track is the first single since his 2020 (very aptly named) tune "Socially Distant", with the new single being his fifth ever release since he started uploading to Spotify back in 2019.
"Soil & Dust" is also the first taste of Tim's brand new EP, which has been a labour of love for the past two months.
The single is really anthemic, with it feeling like it's written for those big audiences in sun-kissed fields.

"Soil & Dust" starts off with some dreamy and bright guitars, add in Tim's distinctive vocals and there already is a solid backbone to what ultimately turns out to be a rather captivating affair. The chorus is very anthemic, I can easily see a field of people chanting back the lyrics Tim sings as they're very relatable and full of oomph.

In places you can hear his vocals get a bit heavier, suggesting that Tim uses his influences to great effect. Once you understand that a big influence of his is the legendary Billy Bragg then you can easily see why this song is so emotionally charged.

Speaking about the new single Tim mentions " ... "Soil & Dust" is about that conflicted feeling that you get when things start to go your way in a relationship or project that you really care about. You really want something good to happen, for that person to like you or things to go right for once, but you also know your own history. You know how much it hurts when you get your hopes up and things don’t pan out. The song kinda builds around the question; is it worth getting excited about, something that will grow as a result of putting effort in, like soil, or is it dust, something that will blow away over time."

The single is really anthemic, with it feeling like it's written for those big audiences in sun-kissed fields, and with the new EP - "How Sick I Became, Running From Myself" -due to be released this coming June now's the time to jump on this bandwagon!
