Hailing from London we have Prince of Sweden - aka James Phippen - and today sees him release his captivating new single, "Garrison Lane". The single is his first release of 2022, and follows on from a strong outing in 2021 which saw him surpass 50,000 plays on Spotify.

The new single has a lot of stuff going for it, first off "Garrison Lane" was recorded in Alt-J's studio in East London - which adds to the overall sound, with it being very in-depth and bold.
You can really hear his influences here, the legends of Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen are present throughout, with a strong comparison against the former when it comes down to his vocal attributes.
The new single is one of those singles that commands the listener to give it your full attention, and with some crisp drums and thick basslines filling up your ears it urges you to push on. The warm guitar tones are a highlight for me, perfectly reverbed and with the capability to fill up any major festival stage with shed loads of atmosphere.
