Canadian singer-songwriter Anna Katarina has revealed her incredibly upbeat new tune, "Golden Days", and this single acts as the first single lifted from Anna's debut album, "Daisychain".
The timing of this song could not be better, with the whole of Europe going through a heatwave (as I am) the track instantly won me over with its charming guitar tones and thick bass - it's a screaming alt-pop anthem.
The track reminds me of the vocals from HAIM mixed in with angular guitars and high synth tones from The Wombats. Speaking about the new single Anna mentions - " ... "Golden Days" is about coming out of the dark days and being grateful for all the big and little things that make life wonderful (aka, golden)."
There is no denying that Anna's vocals are pretty damn epic, and with this new single, I'm sure she will go on to get many more fans in the coming weeks and months.
