Linebeck unveils dreamy new offering, "In My Dreams"

Hailing from Hamilton in Canada we have Linebeck with their incredibly breezy and dreamy new single "In My Dreams". The new offering sees the quartet riding his off the success of their debut single "Bed" - which achieved over 10,000 streams on Spotify alone in the 4 weeks after release.

Linebeck are starting to already make a name for themselves, and if they continue to use the recipe they've used for this single and the debut then I'm sure they'll be a household name in years to come.

When you hit the play button on "In my Dreams" you can see why their previous cut got so many plays, the track opens up with some clean and harmonious vocals with a warm undertone of a guitar. The chorus for me is what makes this track as it pushes it into anthemic territory with how atmospheric it feels.

You can hear the band pull in their inspirations from dream-pop acts to post-punk bands with how the track ebbs and flows. The dreamy hues are evident here but the post-punk elements is what makes the chorus, the drive behind the drums and hazy guitars reminds me strongly of the post-punk-revival scene of the late 00s, especially when the breakdown comes around the 2minute and 20second mark.
