Rising out of Huddersfield in the UK is LONG ISLAND with their upbeat new anthem, "average". The new single is the third and final single from their upcoming album "infatuation's a nightmare", the debut album is due to be out on the 13th of January 2023 - and we're already getting excited for it.
this is just the beginning but they're onto something special we can feel it!
The track is upbeat right from the press of the play button with a drumbeat that will instantly get you tapping your feet. Vocally I love how they kept their accent, there's a lot (and I mean a lot) of bands and acts that sing outside of their accent, almost 'Americanized', but not these lot!
It's a sweet blend of the sugary tones of Fickle Friends mixed with more urgent Indie-Rock that Yorkshire is well known for.
The band has already got a lot of love from online outlets along with BBC Radio and Amazing Radio. It honestly feels like they have the tracks to gain a lot of attention in 2023, this is just the beginning but they're onto something special we can feel it!
