Rising Icelandic act virgin orchestra shares bold new single, "rewind"

Fast and rising out of the Icelandic music landscape is virgin orchestra, and today sees them share their bold new single, "rewind". The new cut is their first release since their AA-side debut single came out back in May of 2022, but it sounds like it's been worth the wait as this is a seven-minute epic!

virgin orchestra have certainly got my attention, even for the whole seven minutes, and we will be back for more of the same if it's on offer - in conclusion, phenomenal.

The intro for "rewind" is laced with dark synthesizer tones, screeching guitars howling away in the distance, and a drum that can fill up the deepest caverns. Vocally it's stunning and very powerful, with the post-punk guitar tone flowing around it you're taken right into their sound, and my goodness they've captured the whole Shoegaze sound by the mid-way point of the track.

"rewind" does dabble into the post-punk realms too with the howling backing vocals giving you a slight late 70s punk tone under it all, half expecting them to perhaps drop a scream here or there. With some strong strings added to the track around the three-minute mark, it also helps to bring what is a dark track some shade of sunshine.
