Leeds-based BLACK SURF have just recently dropped their powerful new single, "Lights Out", and I know what you're thinking - 'Leeds? another amazing up and coming band?' - dead right.
... if they're half as good as on record they're going to be hot property.
This in fact is a debut single, and I flipping love it. This is one of the many reasons why we love running this website, it's hearing amazing bands in the very early days of their careers, and even more so listening to their very first single.
"Lights Out" is a thrilling slice of punk-rock with plenty of grunge tones to shake a stick at, it's moody, powerful and with plenty of guitar hooks to keep anyone busy. It's also the sort of track that can easily find it's way into your playlists, so my advice would be to save this asap .While you're at it, go and see them live if you can, if they're half as good as on record they're going to be hot property.
