Hailing from Nijmegen in The Netherlands is The Giant Low and just a few weeks ago saw the band release their new single, "We Fall".The single is the first since their 2022 release, "Amazone", and comes pre-loaded with an additional song in the form of the B-side "Stars Don't Shine".
... if you like the darker side to New-Wave and Post-Punk revival bands then you certainly need The Giant Low in your life.
The darker approach to the New-Wave sound reminds me a lot of White Lies and with some chunkier guitar hooks found in the likes of Interpol's earlier tunes. I have to admit here it sounds like they've listened to a lot of bands that I like as the sound for me at least is like everything I love all wrapped up into one track.
"We Fall" has it all, striking guitars that can grip you from the first play to soaring high synths that add plenty of texture to the song. With some vocals that sound like Paul Banks, this new single from the Dutch band is hard not to like! So if you like the darker side to New-Wave and Post-Punk revival bands then you certainly need The Giant Low in your life.
