The German duo of SquarePlatz have recently released their version of The Cardigans song, "Erase/Rewind". The new release from the duo acts as their first release since their 2020 EP - "Nostalgia" - came out.

The Munich act comprising Sezgin İnceel (Turkey) and Stas Mishchenko (Ukraine) has turned what one of the best 90s rock tunes is and turned it into an equally nostalgic synth-pop tune.
The pace of the song is very similar to the original, keeping some aspects the same is always good for those who love to sing along to covers. The spritely bursts of electronically charged drums are what makes it for me, I was expecting this to be somewhat dreamy from the get-go, but with the driving vocals, this song takes on a new body.
Keep an ear out for the piano towards the end of the track, when combined with the beat it'll no doubt get you bopping along to it, and untimely leaving you with a longing taste for more.
