Speaking about the song Danny says - "I originally wrote the chorus for this song as a joke after my friend, Freya, asked me to write a song about her in high school. Three years later I found a recording of it and decided to make it into a full song by creating a story of two friends who clearly have developed feelings for each other but are also trying to deal with trauma from past relationships."
