about-faces unveils the big new single, "Too Old For Fun"

Big favourites here on the site are about-faces, and the band has recently unveiled their big new single, "Too Old For Fun". Having released a trio of singles last year, the band sounds like they want to take this year by storm.

... a shimmering, Arcade Fire-esque anthem packed with urgency, danceability.

The shimmering new single reminds me a lot of Arcade Fire, with a glistening blend of high-tone synth bursts, upbeat drumbeats, and a mixture of female and male vocals. Speaking about the tune the band says - " ... The lyrics are steeped in familiar scenes: From fake IDs and cheap tickets for the bus, and then bus home when our clubs had shut."

There's urgency in this too giving it a slight danceability about it, and the Leeds-based band knows it as the breakdown in the final third is amazing, giving you a massive hunger for more. If there's one thing that we know about this band is that the next track is going to be solid, so be sure to follow the rising quintet to stay in the loop!
