Manchester-based Sleeping Together dropped their upbeat new single, "The Essentials, just last Friday, and the whole pacing of the track feels almost like it was designed for their live shows, as I can see hundreds of people jumping up and down in unison to this.
... an energetic, dance-rock anthem built for live crowds, blending Foals-like grooves with late-2010s intensity.
The chorus especially reminds me a lot of the dance-rock nature of Foals tunes mixed with the frantic sounds that was massive in the late 2010's.
They are one of those bands that are doing rather well on the newer social media channels (TikTok) and are even performing live for their followers! With a strong year back in 2024 it sounds like the Manchester band is looking to burst open wide and have their music in every corner of the world!
