Tom Leonard shares the nostalgic new song, "What Has Been and What Will Be"

Following on from his previous single, "The Fathoms Deep Pool Of Love",  Tom Leonard is back with his new sweeping track, "What Has Been and What Will Be".

... a sweeping six-minute blend of jangly Britpop nostalgia and shoegaze haze.

The new offering is nearly six minutes long, but once you're past the initial 10 seconds of the track, we feel that you'll be as hooked as we were. A jangly tone will welcome you in with a warm embrace, and with Tom's nostalgic vocal tones coming shortly after, it will make you feel like the heydays of the Manchester 'britpop' scene

The sound is rather shoegaze-driven in places, but that lingering 90s sound is hard to shake, and with the likes of Oasis making a BIG comeback in the past 12 months, this sound is high in demand. The bold new song acts as a preview of his upcoming album, with it showcasing an evolution of Leonard's earlier sound. If the album is half as good as this, it might push him to the forefront of the local scene.
