Dotts O'Connor releases a stunningly beautiful new EP, "Jodie"

Irish singer-songwriter Dotts O'Connor has recently delivered a charming and timeless EP, titled "Jodie", it is unapologetically Irish with a strong vocal tone that dominates the whole EP.

The title track is a charming song that focuses a lot on a delightful acoustic guitar and his incredibly honest voice. The opening track evolves steadily as it goes by, with the latter half sounding so incredible it could've been written by The Pouges.

Leading on from the headline single is "I Saw It Too", a more upbeat number compared to the first, it opens with a rush of twanging banjo and more direct vocals. As the track goes on, it's arguably a cinematic offering that feels like the kind of track you can unwind to in the late summer sun with a crisp cider to hand.

The latter two tracks are "The One and Only", with a steady finger-picking sound that beckons you in like your mother would when you were playing in the garden. It's homely, warming and filled with keyboard/piano tones that can keep you at ease. Be sure to keep an ear out for the hauntingly beautiful backing vocals.

Closing it all out is "Fail We May", a stunning offering that can easily act as a gateway track to the whole release, if you will. More of an Irish ballad than anything, with soaring sounds that will bring you right back to earth.
