Jeremy Parks' "The Tourist" is a heartfelt Americana-leaning indie folk track from Atlanta, GA. The soft intro is probably one of the main reasons why I actually stuck around for the track. Being introduced to his soothing vocals, draped on top of those scintillatingly smooth guitars, was it for me.
... a warm, road-trip-ready indie folk track that blends timeless Americana charm with a fresh modern glow.
His voice is sublime, with that rich folk undertone carried by his Americana twang. Of course, towards the midpoint of the track, it does pick up in tempo, and towards the second half of the track, you have a more upbeat sound, a more sun-kissed, car journey sort of feel.
It's timeless and yet feels incredibly fresh. It feels like it's been picked up from the 1980s and reborn in 2026. If you like your folk music, such as Ben Howard, then this new single by Jeremy Parks is going to be something you're going to have on repeat.
