Track of the day... Delphic - Doubt

Today its the turn of a brilliant band from Manchester... DELPHIC

A lot can be said about this track, and god darn it, I am going the beans on this one! Doubt'has scatter-shot electronic squelches, hushed vocals and robotic drum loops are actually more akin to recent Bloc Party. However, Delphic have a lighter touch and greater pop leanings than Kele Okereke's gang.

Even during the slightly cryptic chorus ("Doubt, in it all for me, I've hit the wall, all that's left for you is doubt, better you than me, I've so far to fall"), there's an immediacy and warmth to the track which suggests that there's more to these Manc upstarts than New Year hype.

Delphic have morphed what should be a boring indie track into an exciting electronic masterpiece that both radio and clubs (let's face it, this single has 'remix' written all over it) will be playing over and over again.
