Blood Orange reveals "Sandra's Smile" video

Today Blood Orange has revealed his new song + video for "Sandra's Smile" today, alongside the announcement of a special, one-off show at Harlem's famed Apollo Theatre on December 12th. San Diego singer-songwriter Lark shines on her debut single, "Residue". Considering this is her debut single, it is quite the charmer. Opening with a delicate acoustic guitar tone before her gorgeous vocals come in, you will be won over within 20 seconds of the song starting. ... a delicate, guitar-led debut packed with raw emotion and cinematic Americana charm. The track is very folk-leaning and has elements that draw inspiration from her influences, such as Gracie Abrams and Taylor Swift. Produced by Abbey Loren, it is a great entrance for Lark to come onto the music scene with. Washington, DC-based artist Joe Caruso is back with his delightfully addictive track, "Waiting on the Wind." Joe Caruso blends warm acoustic rock with Americana, Country and Latino touches for a beautifully laid-back listen. Dublin-based project Gravité Fresq is back with their new dark pop single, "Hypocrisy Loop". It is absolutely stunning, with nostalgic synthwave moments that remind me of the 1980s scene, and even the production values on this sound rather analogue in places, giving it that extra nostalgic bite. ... Gravité Fresq channel the analogue glow of the 1980s into an addictive slice of dark pop. I also loved the vocals on this, reminding me a lot of Pet Shop Boys in places, but with even more direct tones. The groove and drumbeat on this is really addictive, and it shows that this band is steering their way into many more people's heads. London-based singer-songwriter Adria Dinev is back with a new single, "You Said Forever". The latest track is her first since 2025's "Freedom" came out, and this new cut opens up with a very cinematic sequence before her infectious vocals come in. ... a festival-ready electronic banger that blends cinematic drama with nostalgia-tinged 2010s synth hooks. When the track drops, it steadily builds back up before a powerful drum beat comes in, eventually turning into a full-on EDM banger. [ALBUM REVIEW] Daughter - Not To Disappear

January may be the bleakest part of the year: full of post-Christmas dejection, wet and windy weather, sometimes snow and ice, and in 2016, the devastating loss of some of the world’s most innovative geniuses. With the bleak days of winter in mind, many would argue that it is the perfect month for a Daughter resurgence. Debut If You Leave went hand-in-hand with a permeating dark, fragile, and ghostly nature about the arrangements. However, despite the obvious continuation of the underlying sense of sadness, the subtlety and serenity of the first album is not brought through to 2016. Rather, new album Not To Disappear is much bigger; bringing with it extra dynamism and ambition.
