Feeder are a very good band, despite their recent... softening up.
Echo Park was probably the best album of 2001, and dare I say it, better than Bob Dylan's release from that year, Love And Theft. All Music Guide only gave Echo Park 1.5/5 stars, but what do they know? Nothing. Exactly.
However after Echo Park Feeder started to play lighter, less energetic music. I have nothing against this type of music, but Feeder playing it just wasn't that brilliant. This is the band that brought us Just A Day, one of the best songs ever written (this was my favourite song for a long long time). So it was a disappointment to see them go down the "ageing rock band" road, especially as they're not one.
