I think this girl might be familiar, at least
for some expert fans of acoustic-guitar-hero Ed Sheeran, but still Nina
Nesbitt has not fully grown to the surface, yet.

The 19-year-old Scottish
singer-songwriter first came to recognition after a meeting with the ginger
export hit when she was asked by him backstage to play a few self-composed
chords on the guitar. Lucky enough to have some amazing material ready, she was
chosen to support him on his European tour. Prior to that she had already uploaded
several original songs on YouTube. Since then she has released five EPs including
the single “Stay Out” peaking the UK charts at number 21. Her latest
record is a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Don’t Stop” which will be heard in the
one or another commercial, soon. Her musical style swings between folk and
indie-pop combined with haunting vocals in a catchy chorus. With this
enchanting mixture we are looking forward to hear more from her. Just as the following
song “Boy” predicts:
Nina Nesbitt is a master of making other
artists’ tunes her own which can also be seen in the following covers of John
Newman’s number one-hit “Love Me Again” and The 1975's brilliant "Chocolate":
The Celtic lady will also be on tour later this year:
9th October - Oxford
10th Ocotber - London
11th Ocotber - Norwich
23rd October - Dublin
24th October - Belfast
