Findlay is a pop-rock singer,
raised in Stockport but now resides in London. The mixture gives rise to a mix
between a well-developed, ‘don’t give a shit’ northerner attitude with a
professional, hard-working performer. Having only a limited back catalogue of
songs, she is relatively new to the scene or at least you’re lead to believe.
Despite this, she has already performed on the biggest stages – storming the
summer festivals, playing Ibiza Rocks, earning support sots for Jake Bugg and
The Courtneers; as well as performing in front of Mick Jagger and Kate Moss at
the Serpentine Gallery.
Her seductive performances
and attitude is perfectly accompanied by an array of ricochet choruses which
are bolstered by her surly blues voice. On top of this, throw in some fat
riffs, raucous instrumentals and you’ve got Findlay – a glam blues rollercoaster.
Still an emerging talent,
Findlay is signed to Polydor and has released a handful of songs all with
promise. Think of her as a one-woman Kills who isn’t hoping to waste an
opportunity.
