10 Of The Best Tracks We Heard This Week (w/e 25th May)

Woah, a week goes fast when you've got Arctic Monkeys at the end of it, they were great weren't they! Apart from that it has still been yet another STRONG week for new music, and we bring to you TEN of the best tracks we hear, buckle up, this one's a good'en.

Rae Morris - Cold (Feat; Fryars)

"Cold" is the latest song from Rae Morris and will be available from July 7th as a single, and Morris' début album is due for release on 22 September. The track features Fryars on it and he turns it into a proper RnB anthem with a sprinkling of acoustic piano and electronic synths layered on top.

Digitalism - Wolves

As you may know, we're a bit partial to a little bit of EDM - despite Morrissey saying it's for dumb people - to keep the balance of 'indieness' equal to all genres, remember it's ALL indie ... Anyway, so Digitalism are a band we've been loving for the past 7 years or so and their latest effort "Wolves" is by far up there with the best in their catalogue, scroll on down below and give it a listen!

Tom Vek - Broken

Tom Vek's new single "Broke" is taken from his forthcoming new album "Luck" due for release on 10th June (US) and 9th June (RoW), and you can check it out in full below! The latest track is everything Tom is about, scroll on down and check it out!

Gengahr - She's A Witch

It's not like every day we post a track that's 8 months old, but after writing up the review of their show supporting Wolf Alice in Cambridge we had their demo EP on loop. "She's A Witch" is on it and this is certainly one of the best tracks on it.

It's also going as a free download, click on the arrow below!

Los Porcos - Waterfalls

With the sun absolutely battering the UK at the moment this track has came out at the right time. Los Porcos have been a hotly tipped band for a while now, and after their début 12" single came out earlier on this year the band are certainly going to be big favourites of ours if they keep on making tracks such as this.

Ocean Jet - Weak

There's not much really to say about the state of Russian music, to be honest I'm not sure I know of any Russian acts apart from Tatu... but Ocean Jet look like they're going to be changing the face of music in the country, starting off with their new track "Weak".

Jungle - Time

Running up to the release of their long-awaited debut album - due out July 14th via XL - the secretive band from London have unveiled "Time", a funky track that is certainly going to make an awful lot of people hit BUY on iTunes.

Kasabian - Stevie

When the band went down to Jools Holland's show last week they performed three songs, like everyone else does, and the third track has just been revealed as a bond-theme sounding anthem called "Stevie".

It certainly looks like they're going to easily fulfil the Glastonbury headline slot now!

Superfood - Happy

Superfood took to the VEVO DSCVR stage at The Great Escape and performed a (surprisingly good) cover of the song that's been taking the world by storm - Pharrell Williams' "Happy". The band have been recently on tour with Wolf Alice and with them signing to Infectious earlier on this year and the team behind Peace managing them too Superfood are going to be one of the next big things for sure.

So scroll on down to check out the cover, stick this on and have a boogie!

Run Tiger Run - Teeth

A while back Run Tiger Run shared their début track "Hummingbird", and now you can check out yet another summer laden anthem from the Liverpool band. "Teeth" has certainly been released at the right time in the UK, put this track on and get outside and enjoy!
