Introducing... SPIES

Ireland is producing some fine specimen at the moment and SPIES are following in the echoes of recent bands such as Snow Patrol, Kodaline and Villagers.

Were Keane perhaps a bit less boring you’d find yourself at the feet of this five piece. Their latest track, ‘Sea Creature’, is anthemic in it’s approach and quivering vocals from frontman Michael Broderick elicit murmurs of a more poignant Orlando Weeks. The unsettled frontman’s tones soar into gale force instrumentals with intermittent whistling guitars, much like Irish brother, Villagers. The lead single off their forthcoming EP, also titled ‘Sea Creature’ is their most gigantic to date and will also feature four other tracks.

SPIES’ ‘Sea Creature’ EP will be released on 30th March and will include tracks:

  1. Sea Creature
  2. The Holidays of Jed Bartlett
  3. Quincy Morris
  4. Always
  5. November Sky

If you like the sound of them you can catch the band live at The Stillery, Camden (18th March) and Electrowerkz (March 19th).
