When I was 7 years old kiss chase was a game I played in the school
grounds, and it also happens to be the title of Maui's new track which was premiered by Clash last week on their site. We
first saw the band play a set at Power Lunches in Dalston, London with site favourites Moats, and
since then the Snow Patrol loving band (an in house joke with the band were doing when I saw them last) have gone from strength to
strength!
"Kiss Chase" combines a psychedelic edge to Arctic Monkeys-esque guitar tones, with in your face vocals and a brooding guitar hook to kick things off - this song certainly captures you from the off. Maui are what Arctic Monkeys want to be, big choruses, powerful vocals and all wrapped up in pysch! The scuzzy track is a great track for you to listen to this band if you want to get into them quickly, it's exactly what they're all about - and this song is just as energetic as their sets!
