How are things? Tell us about what kind of year you have had. What are Berries’ 2018 highlights?

"It's all going really well thanks, this year has been awesome for us, a few highlights include doing some good headline shows, selling out Camden Assembly in March and Birthdays recently. We have released a couple of singles and a video, played loads of festivals including Liverpool Sound City and alt Great Escape so it's been pretty busy! Our latest music video also recently got added to BT TV Music's playlist so we are buzzing about that"

There has been some massive live performances for the band, how do you see that side of things develop in the future?

"Yeah we love getting out and playing, it's always exciting when you have played somewhere and then return and you see familiar faces keep coming back. We are in talks with some great promoters for future shows, don't worry we will keep you posted on those..."

Discreetly is such an amazing song (nice sleeve art). Please tell us about making it

"Ah thanks so much! we recorded it with Dan Lind who is our really good friend and then mixed it with Steffan Pringle who recorded Estrons & Himalayas and we are really pleased with the finished product. They both really captured the sound we wanted. Isla Watton has done our artwork since day one, she has a really unique style which we love."

Are you writing new material just now? Please share whatever you can

"We are writing lots and we are back in the studio working on our next release with Paul Tipler. We can't give away too much but expect loads of new music in the new year!"

What is on the cards for Berries next year?

"We have loads of exciting things in the pipeline ... loads of shows, releases, some potentially really cool developments for us as a band so yeah 2019 is already looking pretty amazing!"

What sort of bands have you been listening to?

"Asylums, The Franklys, Liines, Honey Lung, Scrounge, Estrons this list could be a mile long..."
