London duo Curtsy & Cry are one of the up and coming bands making noise in the capital. The alt-rock outfit have a blend of psych, garage and good old hard rock in their latest offering "Fancy Coils". This is one track you really need to crank up to 11 when listening to it, the gnarly vocals and distorted guitars work beautiful here with the rampant drumming, when I first heard this I thought it was a track by Royal Blood to begin with, it's just as meaty, maybe more meatier than a butcher shop.
The duo have been friends since the early days of school and both have developed their sound by experimenting with pedals and effects. They cite The Wytches as one of their influences and if you've ever seen them live you can easily understand the link between the two, Cursty & Cry sound like they could be even better live than The Wytches, expect a wall of noise hurtling your way when you see them!
But before you check them out live be sure to check out their track on Spotify, give it some love and follow them on the socials. You don't want to miss out on this band breaking it!
