Tom Baird unveils relaxing new single, "Lonely Hour"

Tom Baird earlier on this month unveiled his relaxing new single, "Lonely Hour", which is his third ever single since releasing music.

The Guilford based singer-songwriter is heavily influenced by Americana, Folk and even from the Jazz world too, giving his music a very sonic texture while still holding that delicate tone you expect to hear from a Folk single, with his three key inspirations are cited as Joni Mitchell, D’Angelo and John Martyn.

You'll be able to find a lot of his work across some folk playlists on Spotify with his monthly listeners growing steadily month by month.

With love coming from BBC Introducing already, it's no wonder that I compared him to Ben Howard when I first laid my ears upon "Lonely Hour". Having spent two years playing solo and with his backing band in and around London, he's seasoned on the live music scene and will absolutely be a hot artist to check out when live shows start up again.

Speaking about the track Tom says - "Lonely Hour talks about the experience of drifting away from a home town, and your personal experiences there, after having flown the nest - a relatable experience for many."

There's no denying that "Lonely Hour" is a gorgeous slice of Folk music and Tom Baird is undoubtedly one of the best undiscovered folk inspired artists in and around London at the moment. With just three songs currently out there Tom is just getting started, so be sure to follow him on all of the socials to keep up to date with new releases, if the next few releases are anything like this track then Tom Baird is going to be on a winner.
