Box Time delivers a fantastic slice of nostalgia with "Another Excuse"

Box Time delivers a fantastic slice of nostalgia with "Another Excuse", the new single is the London quartet's first since their 2018 single "Miles Across". Having formed in 2018 too the band have played a sizeable amount of venues in and around the city such as The Water Rats, The Hope and Anchor and The Finsbury and by the sounds of it the band are gearing up  to play bigger venues.

The track was released this morning (12/06) via AWAL - and after hearing a teaser of it for the past few days we couldn't wait but post this when we knew it was out in the wild.

"Another Excuse" sounds heavier indie-rock made famous by Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian and even hints of The Subways for some nostalgia. When the vocals give way you're treated so some delightful guitar tones that soothe your ears before John's vocals come back in.

There's a very big mid 00's feel about this and honestly, it sounds like it can easily find it way onto a FIFA Soundtrack! Towards the end of the single the guitars are at it's best, add in the drum section and bass and it's everything we want from an indie-rock track and more.

Speaking about the song the band said," ... "Another Excuse" encapsulates the current mood and frustration that we are all living in and it will speak to a lot of people."

The outfit only have a trio of song currently for you to sink your teeth into, but with cuts as fresh as "Another Excuse" being released it sounds like they're onto something here. So head on down and check out "Another Excuse" now!
