Surrey based singer-songwriter Sam and Sounds has today released his vibrant new cut "Cloud 9", which follows on from his two previous singles "Do It All Again" and "Addicted To You" - which between them have amassed well over 100k streams on Spotify so far this year.
The new single is slated in to be a part of a much wider release, with it appearing on his debut EP later on this year in October. "Cloud 9" has a bright and vibrant intro which bursts in quickly and gives you a slice of what's to come. With it slowing down just as quick but then builds up with some delightful guitar tones and Sam's soothing vocals.
The chorus is insanely foot-tapping, giving us strong vibes of Vampire Weekend and Two Door Cinema Club, while the second main verse is very synth-rock with the guitars taking more of a background stance. There's no wonder that BBC Radio Kent have already picked him up and even getting into the iTunes Pop chart at #19 with his debut single "Do It All Again".
There really is something exciting here with Sam's latest single giving us some proper summer anthem feel-good sounds all over the place, especially when the track takes a 80's pop sound in the latter third.
