Zelha shares delicate new single "Empty Calls"

Up-and-coming London artist Zelha has today shared her delicate new single "Empty Calls", the single acts as her second single since she started releasing tunes in 2020.

The singer-songwriter is half Belgian and half Mexican having grown up in Belgium, with a real blend of cultures she used music to escape everyday life, and this new offering is up there with some of the best new singers coming out of London at the moment.

"Empty Calls" has such a thick and rich bassline that warms the track perfectly up. When the chorus has plenty of 80's pop sensibilities going on, the melodies playing off of one another, the soaring synths and the warm undertone of the cut.

The single is a very atmospheric synth-pop track with plenty of nostalgic elements going on

Speaking about the song Zelha mentions "It revolves around the idea that someone likes you but you don't like them back and at the same time you don't want to hurt them. The song encompasses the feeling of wanting to escape that situation."

The track will also be featured on her debut EP, which is due to be released later on in the year, and give you a tantalising taste of what's to come from this rising artist.
