New Arcades shares soaring synth cut "Moods"

Since the release of their debut album in 2019 New Arcades have gone from strength to strength, and their new cut shows the direction they're going in. With well over a million plays on Spotify the band have been on the rise for the last two years. The new single sounds like a sunkissed synth-pop track that has elements lifted right from the 1980s.

The crashing toms and thick synths really showcase that the band have some depth with their music and the light chirps of drums adding even atmosphere. The track even evolves from out and out 1980's synth vibes to it being a real anthemic synth-pop cut cherry-picked right out of the 2020s - they're keeping things fresh with familiar sounds, and we love it.

Having had a session with the BBC, being playlisted by Spotify Editorials and even getting a US top 10 album in the iTunes chart, there really feels like there isn't a ceiling for this band, not at all. It's always up and up with this duo, and with their nostalgic slices of music keeping their fans on their toes, it's no wonder they've achieved so much in just a few years.
