B. Snipes unveils his anthemic new single, "Friend"

If you like the sound of Anthemic tracks that have an underbelly of New Wave and organic instrumentation then you'll love B. Snipes and his upbeat new single, "Friend". Based out of Birmingham, AL the singer-songwriter delved right into our hearts with the intro, and let me tell you that the mixture of The Smiths sounding bass, synths and a danceable drumbeat won us from the intro alone. B. Snipes is one one seriously under-the-radar singer-songwriter! Not taking anything away from the rest of the track but the chorus of the track is the most infectious part of the track, and when you add in charismatic vocal melodies and a high-octane piano it just adds even more to what already is an atmospheric track. The breakdown towards the end is a masterstroke too, and if you get to this point we feel like you'll be heading into their back catalogue for more gems. My Giddy Aunt releases their vibrant new tune, "Bug"

Coming out of Melbourne in Australia is My Giddy Aunt and at the tail end of March saw the outfit release their new tune, "Bug", which follows their 2023 single "Whatever You Want". Speaking about the song they say - " ... the track makes for a cautionary tale about neglect of the environment and the misuse of magnifying glasses. " A vibrant mix of early 90s rock and post-punk revival influences. The trio's sound can be defined as a blend of 90s rock but with more modern twists such as angular guitar tones heard in early Bloc Party, it's bouncy, vibrant and has plenty of bit to it. Vocally it's perfect to sing along to with a voice that can easily soar above the instruments, which just gives it plenty of repeatability- I can easily see this being spun on Triple J for years to come and still sounding as fresh as it is today.

Monsonic reveals the dreamy new tune, "What Holds Your Eye?"

Back with their third single of the year is Monsonic, and just last Friday saw the act reveal their dreamy new tune, "What Holds Your Eye?". The Oklahoma City-based project has released a few singles since their first back in 2018, and just last year saw an album finally get released. ... a hazy blend of psychedelic and dream-pop The new single, "What Holds Your Eye?", opens up with a hazy blend of psychedelic and dream-pop that brings in a lot of music lovers who love soaring shoegaze tones. Vocally it's leaning to the likes of Slowdive and Ride, but what done it for me was the pace of the song. It's not your usual go-to shoegaze or alt-pop song, the beat is very danceable and will certainly be able to get a crowd at a live show moving their feet - especially in the choruses. The fact that I was a lover of this on the first play is a testament to how good of an act Monsonic truly is, so if you like your alt-leaning pop then be sure to give "What Holds

Snap Infraction share their nostalgic new single, "Touch The Sun"

Back with this third release of the year is Snap Infraction with their new single, "Touch The Sun". The latest offering from the Philadelphia-based trio is more leaning towards the acoustic side of things, possibly even dabbling into the realms of The Beatles' later work too. A wonderful stroll down memory lane with "Touch The Sun". The nostalgic cut is laced with acoustically-driven guitars backed up with a basslike that'll be sure to keep you all warm and cosy on a winter's night. Vocally I felt like I was taken back to the 1970s, more to the point around the time of when The Beatles were coming to an end. It's very power-pop meets early new-wave with the vocal approach, but when it comes to the instrumentation here it's nothing short of crisp and sleek. If you'll be a first-time listener to Snap Infraction then this is one of the best songs to start on, and they've got plenty more where that came from with seasonal tracks to more upbea

We love being there from the very beginning, and artists that we've discovered before their first major release are George Erza, Bastille and now NOISY. A new band from Manchester is looking to join in with their jangly slice of indie-rock. .... this is a fantastic track to launch their career off with. daisychain's debut single, "Stay", is one of the most upbeat debut singles we've heard this year, and with a distinctively early 2000s indie-rock sound about it there is a great nostalgic tone underlining. Having grown up in the early 2000s with the indie scene this shimmering track is very much like the early Bombay Bicycle Club songs mixed with the energy of The Kooks. Being based out of Manchester hasn't got to the band's head it seems as they've kept this rather organic and grounded, but this is a fantastic track to launch their career off with. It's euphoric and yet raw, daisychain keep it clean and to the point, so be sure to follow these lot
