Hailing from Denmark's capital city Copenhagen we have Of Nørth and their atmospheric new single "The Record". The new release is their second ever single following on from 2021's "ØVER", and what they're setting out to achieve is to capture your hearts, and within the first 30 seconds they've certainly done that for us!
... from what we can hear is that they have ambitions to be pretty damn big.
Of Nørth is a project between Danish producer/songwriter Kasper Holm Larsen (who's worked with Kylie and Selena Gomez) and Welsh artist Angus Powell. What the duo have manage to do on this new single is incorporate multiple layers of strings that intertwine themselves in and out of the vocals. The strings were laid down by legendary violinist Davide Rossi (who's been a part of Coldplay and Röyksopp releases in the past).
With love from fellow tastemaker Jpgchief and a dedicated fanbase on Instagram it's still early days for this exciting duo, but from what we can hear is that they have ambitions to be pretty damn big.
Their sound borders on the mesmerizing and down right ethereal in places, these are one of the few new acts you need to be sure to listen to right off the bat - otherwise you're going to miss out on what's set to be a rise of astronomical proportions.
