Celestial North shares ethereal new single, "When The Gods Dance"

Based out of The Lake District in England we have Celestial North, a Scottish singer-songwriter who has recently released quite the atmospheric single, "When The Gods Dance".

The track is her first since 2021's "Nightswimming" (a cover of R.E.M.) and as soon as you press play you're fully immersed in her sound. Angelic and ethereal vocals open it up and give way to some organic drumbeats and a smattering of piano keys to give it plenty of body.

"When The Gods Dance" reminds me of Grimes' early work, even down to the approach with the vocals, it's simply stunning and you can easily imagine the music video having a backdrop of blue skies, mountains and birds flying high as it feels like you're soaring in the sky when you close your eyes.

With plenty of backing already from BBC Introducing, Kendal Calling and legendary outlet God Is In The TV Zine it's clear to see some big hitters are loving what they hear. If you also love what you hear then it's good news, her debut album will be dropping later on in the year, around Autumn time, so be sure to listen, love and follow her on the social channels!
