DRAG drop retro new tune, "SOPHIE"

Bristol-based duo DRAG has today released their big new tune, "SOPHIE". The new tune acts as their second-ever single release, but by the sound of it, they've been doing this for a long time. BBC Introducing South West has already picked up on them and since forming they've also played a handful of support slots with bands such as Walt Disco.

"SOPHIE" is a lesson in how to create an exciting synth-pop tune that feels like you've been lifted up and placed in the 1980s.  There are elements here that remind us of The Human League crossed with Pet Shop Boys, however, the vocals on the tune is a lot deeper, more towards the New-Wave sound of the same era.

Regardless if you're a fan of the 1980s synth-pop scene or not I feel like anyone can enjoy DRAG's latest effort. It's a track that has plenty of dark undertones and bright elements balancing it off one another - so head on down below and sink your teeth into "SOPHIE".
