HOLMES has returned with his huge new single, "Never Learning". The new cut is a strong follow-up from his cracking debut, "If It Was Up To Me", which came out earlier this year.
The new track - out today - kicks right into full swing within one second with his soulful vocals draped upon deep bass and a kicking drumbeat. The chorus is much like his previous effort, with jangly guitars and an emotive pulse behind it. There are strong comparisons here with Catfish and the Bottlemen with the tones of the guitars and the delivery of his vocals.
Speaking about the single HOLMES mentions - "The song focuses around 2 people that can't seem to escape their romance despite knowing the flaws that it holds."
If the debut was a strong outing then "Never Learning" should be his calling card to the music industry, the fella needs a label behind him to push this to new heights - he's clearly got the talent to shine as bright as fellow North East singer-songwriter Sam Fender.
