Coming from Sydney in Australia we have Taylor B-W with her latest single, "Last Child", and my goodness has this one been a hidden gem! The new offering is her first track to be released since the 2022 EP "BTW TBW" which dropped at the tail end of August and it sounds like a song that could soundtrack the opening title roll of a James Bond movie.
There's no denying that "Last Child" is the biggest track Taylor B-W has written to date, and it sounds like it could be her biggest.
"Last Child" has grand sounds right from the get-go, with delicate piano keys mixed with some reverbed sirens and drums, giving it that expansive vibe. Once the track gets past the 80 seconds mark it evolves and enters a drumline that helps push it even further into your heart.
There's no denying that "Last Child" is the biggest track Taylor B-W has written to date, and it sounds like it could be her biggest. The explosion of sound before the midway point for me sealed the deal as it imploded, add in some effect-laden acoustic guitars and what we have is something bigger than life itself.
The way Taylor has combined a variety of instruments here from different genres and has made it work is so tremendous. It somewhat feels like a sequel to "Earth Song" by Micheal Jackson it's that big.
